Systems
Lutron Caséta
The right-sized Lutron system for a cabin, a condo, or a rental — reliable, affordable, and installed in a day.
Caséta is Lutron's smallest system and, for a lot of Pocono homes, the correct one. It runs on its own radio frequency instead of Wi-Fi, which matters when the internet up here is a satellite dish or a single bar of LTE. We size it, install it, label the Pico remotes, and set the schedules — and you are done in an afternoon rather than a week.
You notice it when
- The bedside Pico turns off the whole downstairs.
- Exterior lights follow the sunset without a single timer to reset.
- A renter can dim the room without an app or a password.
Scope
What a lutron caséta project includes.
Every proposal is written for the specific house. This is the shape of it.
- Caséta dimmers and switches, neutral or no-neutral
- Smart Bridge PRO for integration with alarm, thermostat, and voice
- Pico remotes at bedsides, stairwells, and the dock door
- Sunset-based schedules for exterior and away lighting
- Optional Serena shade pairing on the same bridge
Investment
Projects start at $1,200
Most Caséta projects run $1,200 to $4,500 — figure roughly $200–$260 per switch installed, plus the bridge.
How many switches can Caséta handle?
Seventy-five devices on a Smart Bridge PRO, but the practical ceiling is lower. Past about 20 lighting loads you want RadioRA 3 instead, mostly for the keypads and the better scene handling.
Will it work with Alexa, Google, and HomeKit?
All three, plus Ring, Ecobee, and Sonos. The PRO bridge adds Control4, Crestron, and Josh.ai integration if you ever go that direction.
Does it need good Wi-Fi?
Only the bridge touches your network, and only for app and voice control. The switches themselves use Lutron Clear Connect, a dedicated radio band that is not competing with anyone streaming Netflix.
