Vacation Home Monitoring

Freeze, leak, power, and entry alerts for a house that sits empty — the system that pays for itself the first time it works.

The expensive failure in a Pocono second home is almost never a break-in. It is a furnace that quits on a Tuesday in January while nobody is there, and a burst pipe that runs for four days. This is a purpose-built package of sensors that watches temperature, water, and power, and calls you — and someone local — before the damage happens.

You notice it when

  • The furnace fails Tuesday and you know Tuesday, not Saturday.
  • A washer hose lets go and the main shuts before the floor is gone.
  • You can confirm the house is 55°F and dry from your phone in Philadelphia.

Scope

What a vacation home monitoring project includes.

Every proposal is written for the specific house. This is the shape of it.

  • Low-temperature sensors on every floor and in the crawlspace
  • Water leak detection at the heater, laundry, and every supply line
  • Automatic water shutoff valve — leak detected, main closed
  • Power-loss alerts and generator status monitoring
  • Remote thermostat control with hard freeze-protection floors
  • Escalation list so a local contact is called if you do not answer

Investment

Projects start at $1,500

A full monitoring package including an automatic shutoff valve typically runs $2,500 to $5,500 installed. Sensor-only packages start at $1,500.

Questions

Vacation Home Monitoring questions

Something not covered here? Call (267) 719-3598 and ask.

What happens if the power goes out?

The hub has battery backup and cellular failover, so a power-loss alert still reaches you when both the electricity and the internet are gone. That is the moment you most need to hear from the house.

Can it shut the water off by itself?

Yes. A motorized valve on the main closes automatically when a leak sensor trips. It is the single most valuable device in the package.

Does this replace an alarm system?

It overlaps but it is not the same thing. This watches the building. If you also want monitored intrusion and fire, we integrate with an alarm rather than duplicating it.

Next step

Start with a walkthrough.

We come out, look at the house, and tell you what is worth doing and what is not. No pressure, no package deals, and a written scope before anyone spends anything.
